DOC Moves on AD, CVD Investigations of TBR Imports from China

The Department of Commerce (DOC) initiated antidumping duty (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) investigations against certain imported truck and bus tires from China on Feb. 19.

The USW first petitioned against Chinese-made TBR tires on Jan. 29.

The U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) is scheduled to make its preliminary injury determination in this case on or before March 14. If the ITC determines there is a reasonable indication that the imports of the TBR tires from China “materially injure, or threaten material injury to the domestic truck and bus tire industry,” the investigations will continue.
